Bold crescents of cast brass linked together to create an elegant scalloped necklace. The effect of this necklace is understated, while decidedly not delicate. Pleasantly solid and bold, it sits right at the base of the throat and exudes power, more like armor than accessory.
Each link is hand-carved in wax and cast in your choice of Solid Brass or Sterling Silver. Since they are cast, (as opposed to cut from sheet) they have a stronger presence and a much more detailed finish. It warms up as you wear it and is a very comfortable weight.
Over time, the brass will age, developing a beautiful patina. This is one of my favorite properties of brass: old and worn, with a natural finish that can only come from being handled. Smooth, but not too glossy; shiny but not too bright. Silver has similar qualities of patina and finish.
